My Spiritual Name is Sundri Kirin Kaur

As a disabled USAF veteran I attribute yoga and meditation for finding a deeper connection to my physical body and healing relief from living with chronic pain.

Passionate about fitness, I have always demonstrated through an active lifestyle spinning & long distance running, yoga, strength training, teaching high-impact step & regular floor aerobics, kickboxing, belly-dancing, cross-training & stretching, and Pilates while on active duty.

At a young age you could always find me outdoors communing in nature, exploring, climbing trees either to pick fruits or to build my treehouse, always seeking to create through organic expression of what felt natural and curiously inviting to my Soul. For me, this was my most private and intimate connection to my Divine, Beloved God & Source of all that IS which I kept sacred never feeling the need to share nor explain to others!

My life took many turns along the way where I moved often having to adapt to new environments and schools between Massachusetts, Maine, New York, and Florida.  Over the course of my last 5 years of education, I attended 3 different school systems with completely unique honor programs ~ Regents, Honors, and Advanced Placement(AP).
Though I didn’t have the resources or tools I would later come to as an adult dealing with the challenges of stress or traumas I endured in my youth, I always maintained my faith.

Out of the shear comfort in being accustomed to moving, I found myself drawn to enlist in the USAF.  The idea that I could not only travel but they would fund my higher education appealed tremendously to me and so this allowed me to fulfill many of my goals over a 10+ year period.
This afforded me the opportunity to live in Omaha, Nebraska; Osan, South Korea; Laurel & Riverdale, Maryland; and Glons, Belgium; along with being temporarily assigned to Huntingdon, England; Skopje, FYROM; Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina; Naples, Italy; Vicenza, Italy; Bitburg & Spangdahlem, Germany; plus the many places I traveled to as a result of being in many of these places.
It opened my life up to all I knew I desired to experience and the cultures I thirsted to take in. This travel~lust was food for my Soul and there was certainly no turning back!

After over 10 years in, attaining my AAS in Computer Information Systems, BS in Computer Science, and separating from the military, I returned to Italy.  This became home for me and one of the most transformational periods of my life.  It’s where I immersed myself in the local community, learned to embrace life & live in Joy ~ I was no longer “Living to work!”

I was “working to Live!”

Then, I had a wakeup call in 2007 when I bumped my head, sending a lightning bolt of pain down my left arm, in the car of a friend driving me to the train station after work.  Over the course of the next day, my pain increased and I was unable to turn my head to the left or sleep on my left side.  For months it was like this, despite repeated attempts to find pain relief only to find the medication I was prescribed was also causing me extreme anxiety.  I was emaciated and unable to exercise.

Having worked in high-stress IT environments, running was my moving meditation and the pain became too unbearable.  That’s when doctors informed me how it would only continue to exacerbate bulging & degenerative discs they found in my cervical and lower lumbar spine.  It all ended badly because at the same time I was going through this I was also exposed daily to a hostile working environment where I became a target with my ongoing disability.

This led to me returning to the US in 2008 and that’s when I really started healing my life!

I became acutely aware of old patterns, behaviors, and beliefs I had learned from childhood and how they had dictated my life.  It was so profound I knew I needed to make significant changes in myself to affect my life.  I became a sponge for as much knowledge and wisdom I could soak up through healers, trainings, teachings, reading & researching the Law of Attraction, listening to audio books & YouTube videos, and in December of 2009 I even attended a Date With Destiny™ seminar with Anthony Robbins that truly shifted my life in exactly the way I needed at that time.

In March 2009 I was invited to a Hot Yoga class and knew I was in the right place to get my sweat on at Yoga Village

In early February of 2010 I found out I had an allergy to wheat/gluten that explained a lifetime of severe digestive issues, inflammation, face & body acne, jaundice, joint pain, IBS, anemia and so much more.  This became the catalyst to finding myself embarking on a whole-foods plant-based lifestyle based on raw vegan food preparation.  Talk about opening up a whole new world of variety.  I was already a foodie with a passion for eating and a skill for creating amazing meals but now I was finding something entirely new and exciting.  Listen, I am the first person to tell you that I would say, “I am never giving up my real butter and filet mignon!”
Well, never say never because when you start to recognize how you create your own reality, you pay more attention to the thoughts and words you use!

Then, as time went on, I curiously found myself drawn to try other styles of yoga and in January 2011 I ventured to Nicaragua for my first Hatha/Vinyasa yoga teacher training.  That same summer I spent a couple weeks learning Pranic Flow Vinyasa in Santorini with Shiva Rea, who has always been a true inspiration for me, while at the same time I was just beginning to establish my own personal Kundalini yoga practice.

Eventually, in the Autumn of 2013, I was seeking to travel to India when I was asked 5 times by other teachers if I was also going to attend the Kundalini Level 1 Yoga Teacher Training.  At the time I wasn't planning on it but it just made sense and I can honestly say it was the best decision I ever made!

Since that time, I continue to research, grow, evolve and learn as much as I can about myself in order to share these teachings with others.

I am a certified yoga teacher of Hatha & Vinyasa Yoga RYT-200; Kundalini Yoga Level 1 IKYT-200; 3 Kundalini Level 2 trainings (62 hours each) - Mind & Meditation, Lifestyles & Lifecycles, and Stress & Vitality; Beyond Addiction Training; and I have over 300 contact hours with Shiva Rea - Fluid Power Vinyasa Flow (2011) & Embodying the Flow (2015): Elemental Vinyasa, Elemental Prana Vinyasa, and Soma Prana Vinyasa.  I am also a Reiki Master, Pranic Healer, Deeksha Blessing Giver, Visionary, Intuitive, Plant-Based Chef & Food Alchemist, Wellness Promoter, writer, blogger, vlogger, and a Life Coach of “The Alchemy of Self~Love™.”

Because of how much I have significantly over these years in my overall life, I believe yoga is a gift that brings us closer to who we truly are; total Mind, Body, and Soul connection.  Sharing this gift, my intention is to awaken a yearning within my students to know thyself more.

~**~ Be Kind & Loving to YOU! Sending you my Love! ~*♥*~
